We spent our winter vacation in Tanzania.  First, we climbed Mt. Kilamanjaro, and we both made it all the way to the top!  Then, we spent a few days at a the Ngorongoro game park.  Finally, we visited a local Masaii village.  Check out our pictures!

We did our Trek through Zara Travel Adventures, which was a moderately priced, but excellent company.  We chose the Machame route, and added two days for extra acclimatization.

Summit

After our trek, we spent three days on a safari.  We went with Roy's Safari, which was also a good company.  After not washing for a week and living in a tent, we went for the luxurious Sopa Lodge.  Read more about the crater here:  Lonely Planets or Journey into Africa.
